Steps and documents for preparing for a job abroad:
1. Passport
- Must be valid for at least 6 months
- Keep the original copy + color photocopy
- It is better not to have a broken, torn, or stained passport
2. Job Offer Letter / Contract
- Offer letter from a foreign company or agency
- It will mention—position name, salary, working hours, accommodation, food, etc.
- Check the name and address of the sponsor
3. Visa Documents (Visa Paper / Slip / Online Approval)
- Visa Copy (Visa Slip or Sticker)
- PDF copy if electronic visa
- Confirm the copy if sent by the sponsor
4. Medical Report (GAMCA or designated medical)
- Do a fitness test at a designated medical center
- Report must be valid (for 3 months)
- Also keep the online registration receipt
5. Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)
- To be collected from the police station or police headquarters
- Translated into English and notarized if necessary
6. Training or skill certificates (Training/Experience Certificates)
- If you do technical work (such as electrician, plumber), then training certificate or previous experience is essential
- Some countries do not grant visas without these
7. Vaccine and health proof (Covid/Yellow Fever etc.)
- Especially if you are going to African or Gulf countries
- Covid-19 Vaccie certificate and in some cases Yellow Fever vaccine is required
8. Sponsor’s documents (if any)
- Example: Company License, Iqama, Trade License
- Many times useful for immigration or boarding
9. Ticket copy and travel plan
- Confirmed air ticket
- If not available, at least soft copy or booking confirmation
10. Emergency contact number and address
- Sponsor’s phone number
